New episodes of the award-winning Native American music radio show, Native Sounds-Native Voices, created by the AIROS radio network and hosted by veteran Radio Producer "Kutchiak" John Gregg has returned weekly to the airwaves. New Documentary on Oneidas of Wisconsin and Writing Project

NAPT and the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) present a new documentary exploring the journals of the Oneida of Wisconsin who participated in a federal writing project during the Great Depression. The Oneida Speak, produced by Michelle Danforth (Oneida), is coming to PBS stations and the DVD is available now on VisionMaker Video. Watch the trailer and read more about the show.

Public Discussions on Health Documentary Series Continue

Public forums on the upcoming documentary series, Unnatural Causes, continue next week to help raise awareness about health disparities in America. The series, which is set to air on PBS in most cities starting March 27, explores the economic, physical and social backgrounds among the poor and middle-class and how these factors affect health. Forums have been scheduled Feb. 26 in Philadelphia, Feb. 27 in Albuquerque, N.M., and March 5 in San Pablo, Calif. | NAPT Seeks High School Graduates for Multi-year Internship Program
|
NAPT is seeking high school graduates for a multi-year internship project designed to teach students internal operations, as well as develop skills in television production, promotion and distribution within the public TV broadcasting system. Students accepted in the paid, five-year CPB/Emma Bowen Foundation program for Minority Interests in Media work summers and during other school breaks. Eligible students include those of African-American, Hispanic, Asian or Native American descent who have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 or higher, are college-bound and are interested in pursuing a career in the media industry.
